Employment agreement

An employment agreement contains the agreements made between the employer and the employee.

Depending on the circumstances, it may be advisable to agree upon a fixed-term employment agreement, or an employment agreement for an indefinite period of time.

For an employer, it may be advisable to include a confidentiality clause, ancillary activities clause or non-competition clause in the employment agreement. Agreeing upon a non-competition clause can have far-reaching consequences for an employee.

A Collective Labour Agreement may apply to the employment agreement between the parties.
